The late evening sun was glinting like myriads of golden coins on the ocean. It was the sight that made Captain Prowler O'Fish most happy and contended. While gold was necessary currency and important daily business for a pirate, once these mundane matters were taken care of there was still the long days, longer dark nights and the loneliness out at sea. Oh yes, he had his owly crew and they were a jolly lot indeed, but there was no depth to their chatter and hooting. It was in these fleeting, poetic moments at dawn and dusk that he felt most inspired for his lyrics and tunes and quietly he began to hum as he thought out new rhymes for his latest ode to the sea.
Captain Prowler is 14.5 cm tall by 9 cm wide. His body is made of up-cycled upholstery material and recycled acrylic fibre fill. His red-brown and gold pants are made from a vintage silk sample. His ears and wings are raw silk. His belt is made from a scrap of an old leather wallet. The red gold head scarf was reclaimed from a scrap of Sari fabric. The various buttons include re-claimed vintage and new eco buttons. Finishing details
are embroidery floss, a miniature bottle and beads. His legs are reinforced with wire.
